A traditional Nordic dish with few ingredients that is cooked directly in a frying pan over an open fire.
Instructions:
Feel free to prepare the batter at home. Whisk together water, flour and salt in a bowl. Pour into a thermos or plastic bottle.
Dice the pork or use pre-diced bacon.
Heat butter in the frying pan and fry the pork until crispy. Pour about 1/4 of the pork/bacon onto a plate so that there is enough for more kolbullar.
Pour 1/4 of the batter over the pork, (or enough to cover the bottom of the pan)
Fry the charcoal bun carefully until the batter starts to harden. Turn the charcoal bun and brown the other side. It may need to be turned once more so that the first side is golden brown, crispy and nice.
